  • Mybumpers are plastic covered - do I treat these like the rest of the car?

My crown vic has plastic type covered bumpers.

They are the same paint color as the rest of the car.

Do I clean and wax these areas the same?

    Yes.

    Wash
    Clay
    Clean
    Polish
    Wax
    Maintain

Just as you would the paint on the hood or a door.

You bumper paint is reduced with flex agent and makes it less durable than the paint on your car body. Keep that in mind.

Be very careful if your going to buff these with a rotary!

I also have a Crown Vic and the previous owner beat the tar out of these bumpers! The paint is not very thick at all as I can see from the scratches on mine.

I need to get mine repainted or replaced.
