I'm double, double checking on this because in the past we've posted that Quik Interior Detailer contains a light amount of UVA and UVB protection, not as much as a dedicated protectant.

Quik Interior Detailer is for the interior like Quik Detailer is for the exterior. They both remove dust, finger prints and smudges while leaving the surface being treated looking great, but they are not replacements for dedicated products like a dedicated protectant for the interior or a dedicated wax for the exterior.

Detailing clay like the clay we use in our Quik Clay System contains a special abrasive that basically abrades anything sitting above the surface off without instilling scratches into the finish.

Meguiar's teaches that normal claying of a painted finish will remove most/all the wax sitting on top of the finish. Chances are good that it will not remove wax that is inside the microscopic imperfections below the surface, but if there is wax on the surface, and your rub a clay bar over the paint long enough using good technique, you will be removing anything sitting on top of the paint.

Anytime you clay your car's paint, at a minimum you should re-apply a coating of wax to insure maximum protection for the finish.

Heh heh, I'm starting to think my claying is so outside the norm that others will have different results than I do. The choice of clay probably factors in here too...

          Thanks a lot for replies!

ScratchX uses a microscopic diminishing abrasive that if you work it against the finish will remove small particles of paint enabling
English is not my first language, so please could you explain, what "work it against the finish" means? Does it mean that I have to do any specific movements or directions of movements on my car finish when using even-coat applicatior to apply and Supreme Shine Microfiber to wipe it off.

            ^^^^^^^^^

When you use Scratch-X, give it a little "umph" while rubbing it on the paint.

              Here is what I do.

              1. Wash and also Remove any Tar and Bugs with the Tar and Bug remover if needed (Bugs and Tar don't stick well to Wax, so I no longer need this stuff)... Dry

              2. Clay, Rinse, Dry

              3. ScratchX any swirls or scratches, then DC #1

              4. DC #2

              5. Wax with NXT Liquid
