  • PlastX

    Hi,

I have heard some speculation on using PlastX.

Supposenly the stuff shins Tail Lights and head lights.

Is it safe and easy to use?

If so how do I use it?

I use on the taillight's, headlight's and gauge console. It's easy to put on and take off.

I used Plastx on my '96 Vette. The tail lights looked hazey. Now they gleam! Plastx is very easy to use with great results.

          AFTER:

You need to use some "passion" when you use it and you may need a few applications but it definitely is a great product...

I used a foam terry applicator and wiped off with a mf towel....

Like many of our compounds, paint cleaners and cleaner/polishes, PlastX contains a unique and special diminishing abrasive that actually enable you to remove scratches from the surface, not merely fill them in. It is also excellent at removing oxidation and yellowing from plastic surfaces.

If you go into our Photo Gallery, and type the word PlastX into the search engine, you will pull up before and after photos like below that our members have uploaded and then posted in their own threads talking about their experience with this product. Here a a few...

In the below photo, you can see a small circle that's clear, this is an area where we removed #1500 grit sanding marks by hand using PlastX.

At a recent BMW class here at Meguiar's this owner is removing fine scratches, scuffs, stains and oxidation to the flexible plastic rear window on this BMW

It's a good idea to follow an application of PlastX with a coating of M10 Plastic polish for maximum clarity and an anti-static surface.

Also, whenever you're working on Lexan, please test any product in a small inconspicuous area first. Lexan is very hard, and often times coated with a specialty coating. Neither Lexan, or specialty coatings lend themselves to polishing and/or abrading. So test first.
