Cleaner Wax VS Colour X

Hey again everybody.

Would Meguiars cleaner wax be to light to remove heavy finger prints, window sealent tar from a freshly painted car? Or would Colour X be to much? This car hasent seen daylight yet.

Oh and by the way. Its gonna be fully detailed in everything Meguiars

1st, has your cars paint been allowed to cure the 60-90 days? Just make sure of that, as you dont want to wax if not.

2nd, the cleaner wax is a bit mild, so hard t osay. For the tar, you may need to use a bug and tar remover, and then clay. Maybe just claying for the finger prints.

After that, you may be able to use either one. ColorX will be stronger, but will not damage your paint in any way, so dont worry about going overboard with it.

Yea I was thinking Bug and Tar remover. Im not sure how bad it is, I havent seen it yet. It is my fathers '67 Satellite 383 4 BRL. Its hasent cured that long yet. Would that be a major problem? You can still use the polishes and waxes can you not?

I am not sure if Bug and tar remover is safe for fresh paint either.. maybe someone else an chime in.

I know products like #80 are safe.... Not sure about like DC#1, #2, etc.

Wouldnt want to use a cleaner wax, as it has a wax in it.
