Hey guys I was lookin at my hood today (black) I noticed little white "dots" all over it. I run my hand over them and feel nothing. Kinda weird. Tooks some digi pic's but can't see them. Any ideas.
Thanks.
Could be wax in indentions in the clearcoat or wax residue on the surface the needs to be buffed off.
Hopefully it's not paint overspray from spray painting nearby home or work, or somewhere you parked while running errands.
Even if you can't feel these spots, have you tried claying the hood to see if they come off?
I know on my hood I have quite a few rock chips in the paint (clearcoat actully), that you can't see, unless something gets in the tiny holes in the paint, like wax. For me, a few days after I wax it, I use a high pressure rinse to get the white wax out of most of them, dry the hood and then Spray wax or QD the hood.
The only thing of course (in my case) to cure this would be to repaint the hood.
