  • #83 drying up too soon

    Hello all,

I've been having a problem with #83 drying up too soon. I do live in florida and it is usually around 90 degrees out when i do the work, but i am in the shade and i keep the surface as cool as possible. I don't think that the diminishing abrasives are having time to fully break down, therefore the polish is not given the chance to preform it's job. Because of this i am not getting the desired results.
I called the meguiar's RX hotline and the guy said to spay on some quick detailer to keep the product workable. It seemed to help, but I was wondering if i could dillute #83 to the consistancy of #80 or so???
If possible what should i dillute it with and will it affect the way the product performs?
I have had great success with #80. The product is amazing and i have no problem with it drying up at all. If i could just get #83 to act the same way, i would be a very happy guy.
    Any sugestions?

a different approach / way of thinking.

i recently used #83, and time was a factor,,,so what did i do??!!
I sped the PC up to 6, using an older polishing pad, and the #83 dried real quick and left "burnt" polish behind which was hard to remove!!!

so i slowed the PC down to 4 and changed to newer softer white polishing pad, and had a much longer working time, and easier removal!!

i had to learn that you dont 'work' megs polishes till they are gone and dust up,,,,,just until they 'flash'!!!! and then wipe off when still wet.

    just my experience with #83.
