  • Just rinse ?

I have a new white ford pickup, I have went through the steps to clean the new paint ( clay, paint cleaner , polish then wax ). I live on a gravel road so I get dust on my truck everytime I drive it, as long as it's just dust and not mud can I just rinse it off with just water and no soap, then use the spray detailer on it. Thanks for all the info, I didn't know a white truck could shine like this till I did all these steps.

It would probably be better if you invested in a California Car Duster or Meg's Body Duster for daily maintenance followed by your QD. As long as the dust is light, the body dusters do a great job.

I seen one of those California dusters at Wal Mart but I thought it said it was for interior or is this the same thing your talking about.

They may offer one for interiors so make sure if you're going to get a duster, get one for the exterior. Here's a link to Meguiar's Versa Angle Body Duster to compare with what you saw.

Forgive me for hijacking this thread, but I wonder if one of those car dusters would work for removing fine detailing dust, just before you wax?

Can you clean Meguiars duster or does it eventually fill with dust and you have to get a new one?

              EXCELLENT QUESTION...

I have a Megs Duster- Great tool, can dust the whole car in under 5 minutes.

But it's getting dirty...and Im wondering if and how I should clean it

              ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS????

                Hey,

Mike actually replied to another thread where he suggested using a Shop Vac to try and **** up some of the dirt from the duster. But I wonder if that may loosen the threads from the duster's head. I will keep checking to see what I can find out.

I own a California Duster, and they say that the "parafin wax" in the threads actually starts to work better the more you use it. I have one duster that looks nearly black (red threads on the duster) and it still works great. You can take them off if you feel like washing it, but I have had my duster for 4 years and it still works great.
