  • Product advice for my BMW

Hi, this is my first post.
My 97 328i sport coupe's paint is in pritty good condition with only a few light scratches and swirls.

The product's I have to hand are:
    Scratch X
    Deep crystal paint cleaner
    P21s GEPC
    Deep crystal polish
    #82 swirl free polish
    NXT tech wax
    #16 paste wax
    P21s

I was thinking of doing the following process:
    DC paint cleaner
    #82
    NXT
    #16

Is this right, or am I missing something.

    Thank's,
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

With the products you have on hand, here's what I would do,

Since you say your finish has a few light scratches and swirls, I would opt for going over the entire finish using the ScratchX with a clean, soft foam applicator pad.

After that, apply a thin coat of the Deep Crystal Polish.

After removing the Deep Crystal Polish, apply two thin coats of the NXT Tech Wax, if possible, apply the second coat after approximately 12 hours have passed. If you can't wait that long, then apply the second coat about an hour later. The more time that passes after the first coat, the more fully the polymers will have set-up. After your done, pull you car out into the sun and take a picture for the forum. (Each member of Meguiar’s Online gets their own Gallery area)

Maintain with a quality car wash, (avoid dish washing detergents), and a quality wash mitt. In-between regular washings use a quick detailer.

    Thanks for joining!

      Thank's for the reply Mike,
At the moment I have about 5 layers on P21s on my paint.
Will the Scratch X be able to remove this?

As soon as the rain stop's I'll get detailing and post some pictures up asap.

      Thank's again

ScratchX will completely remove the P21S
