While they perform the same basic job, they are different products. The NXT booster wax is designed to enhance the appearance and protection qualities of NXT paste or liquid wax. The Quik Wax was designed to add a temporary layer of wax inbetween full details. The Quik Wax is more universal in that you can use it on a variety of LSP's, whereas the results you get with NXT spray wax are optimized when used in conjunction with NXT tech wax. If the quik wax is all that you have available you should be fine, it is a very good product.

Hey Bryan,
No, the Quik Wax and the NXT Spray Wax are not the same. However, as the others have mentioned, each will do a great job!
I was originally asked to test Meg's Quik Wax back in May 2003. The results were excellent. I really liked the product!
Here are a few pics from that 2003 review:

Good afternoon all,
The question has now become redundant as I have managed to track down the NXT Generation Spray Wax (Booster Wax)
And, even better, it's cheap as chips
I also managed to get hold of an Ultimate Wipe detailing cloth, also for peanuts............it's been a good day so far
