I use simple green for a cleaner, spray it on let it sit 15mins, hose it off and dry with a rag. Then I use 303 Aerospace Protectant as a finish. When applying 303 remeber to buff the product with a terry towel.

Once you get the first coat of 303 on, next time you wash them you shouldn't need to use any cleaner, just soap and water. If you use 303 once every week for 4-5 weeks you should only have to repeat this once a month. Once a good base of 303 is on it lasts a long time.

    Cheers!

I usually use simple green as well. Ive never tried APC for it though, i have the same concern about dillution. When it comes to dressing though, Hyperdressing works great. The key is to let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe of the excess, that way it wont get on your tires.

        Hey,

I use Meguiar's Safe D-Greaser D-10501 to first clean the wheel wells and then dress them with Meg's Hyper Dressing Diluted at 3:1. I lightly spray the wheel wells with the HD and then use a foam painter's brush to spread the product. I have had great success using this method. I have also found that the Hyper Dressing lasts really well!!

I usually use tire cleaner on the wheel well's. If it is really dirty I wash them, then I use tire cleaner on them to give it that wet look.

This one of the areas that I check for on any car. I hate a clean car with dirty wheel wells.

If I am going to show my car I spray Orange Blast on the rims and in the wheel well area. I rinse, clean the rims then go back and clean the wheel wells with a brush.

If I'm just going to do a regular wash the Orange Blast works good enough to rinse the area.

I always apply some type of dressing when I'm done.

I like to use a diluted APC to clean dirty wheel wells and follow with Meguiars Accent detailer. The process for dirty wheel wells is spray the diluted APC, allow dwell time, agitate, then rinse with a strong stream of water, dry and spray Accent detailer. For wheel wells which are cleaned on regular basis then car wash soap with a dedicated mitt or brush followed by Accent detailer works well to maintain the look.
