I was driving the other day and out of the corner of my eye at a garage I saw a 1998 (I think) Dodge Viper Gts. After I regained cousciousness I pulled into the parking lot and got out. The Viper has been my obsession for years now. As I got closer I saw that it was in terrible shape. There was a thick coat of dirt on pretty much every surface the headlights were fogged up and faded there were some dings and scratches and the gas cap behind the passanger side window was fading as well. Ive been thinking about what I could do to fix the problems. Any ideas? I would love to work on the car for the owner but I know I will never get in touch with him, and chances are I know more about the car then he does. That seems to be the case with all Viper owners Ive talked to. If anyone owns a Viper in the forum I'd like to talk, because I certainly plan on owning one.

I like vipers also, and I also like beating them in the only true american sports car, the corvette
Anyhow, most Viper owners I run into seem to know a lot about cars, most even have a few mods, like the smooth tubes with K&N, exhuast, short shifter and a few other bolt ons. 97 & 98 GTS prices have come down a good deal, so I think its a good buy. Might come down even more when the new C6 z06 comes out.
As far as the paint, likely could use a good wash, clay the entire car, wash again, cleaner polish, pure polish, and a wax job! Is a shame to see nice cars like that in such condition.
