A factory clear coat finish should not turn milky white because it gets wet. If you can prove the clear coat turns milky white when it gets wet I would think Ford would admit that this is not right and offer a remedy?

      Thanks,

I'll do a followup with Ford and see what they say about.

This is a 7 year old model, and I'm kinda doubtful they will offer any help "willingly".

Thanks to all of you that responded to my thread!

Normally I would agree but it does.

I work on cars that do this all the time, mostly cars from the 90s.

Just work on them like you would any paint it doesn't seem to get worst.

          That's good to know.

I'll be doing the upkeep on this vehicle for now. I plan on hitting it with #82 before the month is out, and see if I can get rid of a few more water spots while I'm at it.

It's been an educating experience for me.
