  • Upcoming Lamborghini - Any Tips?

Tomorrow I may be detailing a yellow Lamborghini. I talked to the owner a week or so ago and he is interested in having me detail his Lamborghini, then possibly his second Lambo, a yellow Ferrari, and an older Porsche if he is happy with my work.

Does anyone have any tips for working on a Lambo? This will be my first. Any suggestions as to which wax combo to use on a yellow car? I have never touched yellow before. I plan on doing all work by hand, I can't imagine using a PC and causing any sort of damage at all.

Also, the wheels seem to be painted yellow and have a clear coat. Will Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner be safe to use on these? I plan on putting NXT on them once they are clean.

Any tips at all from anyone with such an experience would be very helpful.

Well, I would say the Yellow will probably behave more like white.. where you will get a nice gloss, but not as much depth.

And dont hit the gas to hard.....

nothing wrong with using a pc. just tape up the emblems, bodylines, and anything you'd hit. also put some tape around the head of the pc.

then finish up by hand where the tape was

I would suggest after polishing using #5 followed with #26

lambo yellow looks very deep and wet with a glaze and a Nuba

Save your judgment on how you’ll proceed until you see the car and do your test spot.

I know you don’t want to “risk hurting the car" but the PC won’t do that and you need to get the job done. If it shows up full of swirls and you give it back to the customer full of shiny swirls it wouldn’t be fair to him or the car.

I bet #26/#21 would look outstanding on Yellow.

Take lots of pictures and have fun!

I was gonna suggest the same as Newport Viper, sounds like a job for NXT.

I wanna' work on a Lambo!

                    Good Luck!
