  • removing sap residue?

The only tatic I have tried is using a clay bar. Will scratch x help?

Also, can I buy meguiars products and pick them up at your office in irvine?

    thanks!

      Hi carbnjunkie,

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Tree sap can be tricky depending on the sap, usually claying the finish will work, sometimes you'll need to slow down and work an area a little longer than normal.

Using a combination of ScratchX and a clay bar can work also. I'm sure others will chime in with their ideas...

Have you tried washing and really saturating the paint with lots of water before washing with a mitt and soap solution? Some sap removes this way.

We don't sell direct from our Irvine warehouse, but if you call Customer Care, they'll give you the address of our Detail Center in Lake Forrest

I've never tried it myself, but some have had success by soaking the sap with alcohol. Lay a small soaked sponge, cloth, or something over the sap spots and let the alcohol work into the spot. After a few minutes, the sap should wipe off.

Tentatively, the Autopia Detail Day is scheduled for October, 8th as almost every Saturday for the rest of this year is spoken for. I will be confirming this date by end of day Friday, so it is tentative as of right now.
