  • Exausted finish

After washing my GTP I have come across a problem that I have not had before. The area on the rear plastic bumper around both tailpipe outlets has a film which feels like fine grit sandpaper. I'm assuming it's from the exaust.
Any ideas on product & procedure to use to remove this film ? I tried scratching the film with my fingernail but it felt like the gritty film was baked onto the paint surface.

    Hi GTP-40ANNIV,

Sounds like a good job for detailing clay followed by a paint cleaner like ScratchX. After this you'll need to apply some wax as both of the above products are for removing above and below surface defects and will also remove any wax on the finish.

        Hey,

I agree with Mike. It sounds like bonded contaminents from the Man. winter roads. Using Quik Clay will probably remove the the bumps! Please keep us posted!
