  • NXT and other stuff for trade.

I couldn't figure out which forum this would be best suited for, but I have posted similar here before. If this is the wrong forum, Moderators please move it for me, or if this is no longer allowed, please Delete this thread and PM me. Thanks.

    Moving on.
I have the following Items for trade:

Glass Wizard(includes two microfiber covers and one cotton scrubber)
Super Poly Shield Exterior Gloss Preserver( About 14 oz., pretty decent sealant).
*pending*SSR2.5 (I estimate there is somewhere between 6 and 10 oz. in the bottle, hard to tell)
*traded*NXT Tech Wax Liquid(Opened but unused, I already have two open bottles and don't need a third)
*traded*NXT Tech Wax Paste(used once, I really don't like any past waxes).
Finish Kare Chrome and Brass Polish(about 13 oz.)
*pending*Edge 4" pad collection, for use by cyclo, pc, or rotary(I have pc backing plates if interested)
1 Buff and Shine 6"x2" cutting pad(good condition)
2 Buff and Shine 6"x2" polishing pad(one good condition, one not so good, I used for waxing and got some tears from emblems).

Trying to clean house so I'm getting rid of stuff I don't use very often and looking to trade for any of the following.

    Meguiars New APC
    Meguiars #26 liquid
Cyclo Brand pads(orange, green or white)
Meguiars Older microfiber(the whiter edgeless ones).
    Megs Final Inspection

Or if you would just like to purchase something, PM me and we'll work something out.

NXT Paste and Liquid are already gone, and the 2.5 and edge pads are pending.

    Hi George,

    How about a few questions?

Did you like or dislike these pads for their intended purpose?
What type of machine did you use them on?

I'm having trouble with the formatting of your message when replying with a quote, so I will just answer your questions in order.

      1. The edge pads I have are sold by Rightlook for the cyclo. I purchased the pads because Rightlook did not carry the cyclo brand pads. The pads themselves worked fine, and with the right backing plate will work with both the rotary and pc(I have backing plates that will fit the pc). My only gripe is unfamiliarity with the pads, I prefer to use pads that I already know what to expect, and prefer not to relearn a whole new system.(ie which pads to use with which polish for desired cleaning ability). I know many people are familiar with edge pads, and perhaps they will get more use out of these.

      2. The Buff and Shine cutting and polishing pads: I originally purchased these for use with the rotary, but that didn't fare so well because I found they were too thick(2") and induced some hop). They did however work very well with the PC, but I no longer use a PC as they Cyclo is my new tool of choice. Note: the Buff and Shine cutting pad is inbetween Megs Maroon and Yellow Pad for agressiveness, and the Polishing pad is inbetween the Yellow and Tan pad for agressiveness.

      3. I like the cyclo pads because I am FAMILIAR with them, and Meguiars has of yet to release a pad to fit the cyclo *hint*

George, in you opinion why the "cyclo" and not the PC?

Not everyone may agree with me, but I feel the Cyclo will do work that the PC won't. Not to mention the machine is just an incredibly balanced tool, you really have to try one out to understand. You're welcome to try mine out if you want

George came by my house yesterday with his Cyclo and we played around with a few polishes on his moms "test panel" that he brought with him. I'm very impressed by the machine and the amount of work it's able to do and how easy it does it. It does have a different feel than the PC but it's not something that would be that hard to get used to.

I'm REALLY wishing that I had bought one from Joe. George it's ALL YOUR FAULT that I want one of these now.

It's not too late to get the gold plated edition from TOL, that is if you have a few bucks to drop.
