I just picked up my 05 Ford F250, it's white with beige trim on bottom. It has black plastic feeling running boards and mirrors, leather interior ( tan ) with some woodgrain looking trim. On my vehicles before I wash them every now and then and wax them even less. I want to take care of this one so what would I put on my shopping list to get, including brushes, mops, towels or whatever I need. The truck has about 150 miles on it and I don't know how long it sat on the lot. Thanks for the help.

Definately look it over, and ask away.. It will be important ot know what sort of goals you have, etc. If it will be a heavily used truck, keeping a showcar look may not be your #1 goal, and different products are good for different things.

I would like to keep the truck looking as good as possible. The truck won't be drove everyday and will be kept in the garage. Also I'll have to drive on about a 1/2 mile of gravel road before I get to a paved road if that makes a difference.

Well, if you paint seems swirl free already, then you will be able to just start with the basics.

Wash: Gold Class and Nxt are my favorites
Clay: Even on a new car, claying can make a huge difference.
Clean: Since you are probably working by hand, DC#1 will be good, as it is mild, but wont remove any swirls if you have them.
Polish: DC#2 is a good polish by hand, fairly quick and easy.
Wax: You have a few options here.. I like Nxt wax for durability, and looks pretty darn good. Gold Class looks great as well, and you wont go wrong with DC#3 if you use that.

On my daily driver, I have used clay, ColorX, and Nxt wax with the booster wax after washing, and have great results. It cuts back a step, and is a little stronger of a cleaner I figure for the daily use.

Use two buckets to wash with, I like a good a good chenile sponge , a few watermagnets to dry with, and a few terry cloth towels for under the hood, door jams, etc.

Get a bunch of the little foam hand applicators, or even coat applicators, whatever u like. And some Supreme Shine microfibers for removal of waxes, etc.

The Gold Class trim detailer may work good on your black plastic, and Nxt Metal polysh on your chrome or aluminum bits. Tire dressing and wheel cleaners are up to you.
