I have a dark blue (almost black) car and am looking for something to polish it with.
I am going to use it with the PC, I have heard others do it with good results...

Some of you listed claying before washing...Was this a misprint?
I wash well before and a quick wash after.

Never have yet, but I just used clay for the 1st time a few weeks ago...I try to make sure the QD removes all of the clay residue.

A7202 Hi-pile cotton towels. I have several bags I haven't opened yet. They are great for removing product.

I noticed I forgot to toss the G100 PC and pads in the photo too.

I was going to buy some new towels from Meguiars, but I found some 100% Egyptian Cotton towels at Plej's for $1.50 apeice!...I bought about a dozen of them...Very soft towels.

I have a few car geek friends and usually buy them a Meg Christmas package. These kits typically come with towels and I usually buy an extra kit or two for myself. So I wind up with a few Meg towels for me too. They are fine towels albeit fairly costly if purchased separately.

We have a Cannon outlet store in the vicinity where I can get very high quality hi-density all cotton towels much cheaper as they are seconds. I use a lot of them too. You never can have too many towels right?

                Right

It wasn't too long ago that I used the same towels for years I have no doubt that I was leaving towel marks on the finish, since the towel nap was so worn.

                Thank goodness for the internet...

Well, it's a little time consuming, but it is worth the effort to use it....I like the way that it cleans the surface...Leaves it very slick!

For just paint care on the Electric Green Mustang:

                      Wash with Rich Suds
Clay (I buy the Meg's body shop-pro-clay, since I can't find the kits near me)
Paint cleaner (deep crystal step 1)
                      Polish (deep crystal step 2)
                      Wax (Gold Class paste)
Quik Detailer for a final clean-up

I also use a convertible top cleaner, tire cleaner (westleys), rim cleaner 9hot rims), vert top protectant, tire gel (endurance), GC trim detailer...... Maybe others too, it's instinctive for me now, but it's been since October that I've looked in my car care tote....
