  • Water spot question

How lond does it take water spots to etch their way into your paint?

That depends on the hardness of your water. It could be a few days, could be a few months.

Actually it depends upon the concentration of either acid or alkaline chemicals in the water and of course your paint's resistance to these chemicals.

The most you can do is keep your car cleaned and waxed. After that remove any water, (when possible), before it can dry.

Well being that its extremely hot and humid here right now the water almost dries instantly while i'm washing. I've tried washing early in the morning and still its get really hot early(like 8:30) my paint is already heating up. I can handle water spots the I have to remove with QD or using the wax booster that I reg use. I just want to know if I need to worry about etched water spots happening at that quick of a rate. I already have a ton all over the paint that I need to remove. Don't want to have more.
