#33 or #34 for clay?

Which is better for claying? #33 Quick Detailer or #34 Final Inspection?

I'm going tomorrow to get the large clay (C-2000) and need to get one of these so I can clay both cars this weekend and hopefully polish my wife's car at least. (Mine needs some serious help!)

Also which is better to have around if they will both work the same? Meaning, which will I benefit from more?

I've dropped some serious plastic on Megs stuff this month but so far I'm happy as can be and anxiously awaiting UPS to show up!!

Just need to take the plunge and get the G-100!!

They smell the same, but they aren't the same... but they work the same, in the home environment. They will both safey remove minor contaminants from the surface without marring, when used correctly. The #34 will leave a little bit more shine IMO. It seems to be a little less watery, a little more substantial. But for effectiveness, for how well they perform the intended task, they are both excellent.

I use the A-33 almost exclusively for my clay lubricant, regardless of where I got the clay. It's also a great QD.

The #34 is a great QD too. I've never used it as a clay lube, mostly because I always seem to have a couple bottles of A-33 around for some reason. But I would think it would work well.

A-33 is a buck cheaper. #34 seems to leave a little bit more shine. You can't go wrong with either product. If you flipped a coin you would win either way.

have yet to try it.... but some people use a little gc or nxt soap, mixed with some water in a spray bottle and seem to get good results.

I use final inspection for a clay lube and I feel like I don't use as much of it. I recently couldn't find final inspection and had to grab the quik detailer and I was having more problems with it thinning out to where the clay would stick to the paint. Probably just my technique as it was probably around my 15th clay job, but that's just what struck me this last time.

Both products will work well for claying. I use Meguiar's #34 Final Inpsection as I can buy it in the gallon size. I use a ton of this stuff from claying to priming my buffing pads before compounding! It is one of my favorite products!

I use #34 (final inspection) for claying, QD, etc. Buy it by the gallon.

I use a mixture of Final Detail and distilled water, but I might switch to something else, so my supply of FD will last a long time.
