  • Pressure washers?

Any suggestions for a good pressure washer? Most use will be on projects other than cleaning my trucks, but there will be times it will be used to take off major crud. I'm looking for good brand that uses a Honda motor.

This summer it seems just about everyone has introduced a pressure washer. There are now tons to choose from!?!?

My father bought a Excell from Home Depot:

5 HP Honda GC (OHC) engine. Maintenance free pump. 2 Year Engine and 1 Year Pump Warranty. Area cleaned in 5 minutes: 40-45 sq. ft.

    • heavy duty
    • Great for driveways
    • 2600 PSI
    • Gas powered

    Store SKU # 417448
    Internet # 165328
    Catalog # 100053359
    Price: $388.00/ea

He uses it all the time but I have used it a hand full of times, very useful. It has a what I call "home owner" Honda engine not as good as their bigger GX (OHV) engine but its still a Honda! There are better models and there are less expensive models he thought this was a good middle of the road.

There are so many out there now Ryobi, Porter-Cable, Coleman Powermate and the list goes on. I agree with you on the Honda so that will narrow your selection a little.

I am sure others will chime in!

      Hey Tom,

My pressure washer is a little larger than the one shown in Gb's picture, and has a Honda engine and BE pump. Works just fine!

But if I would do it again, I would buy the better Honda GX engine. I have found my honda engine to be noisy; not as bad as some of the cheaper brands available (they are very noisy!), but still quite noisy. Hence the reason I would consider the larger and quieter Honda GX engines.

      Just IMHO!
