  • High Gloss Tyre Gel causing a mess

I've been using this product for quite a few months now and am quite impressed with it, but recently i am finding that my car is getting covered around the wheel arches with black spots a bit like tar but easy to remove.

so i'm putting it down to the gel, but how come it's only started recently? it is now summer time here in England but it isn't that hot that i'de expect a product from the states to start to fail.

    any comments?

ps i always give the tyres a good wash before i put stuff on.

Do you wipe of the excess with a cotton towel? By doing so it will prevent any product sling.

No, i didn't wipe off excess but never did before.

doesn't wiping afterwards give a matt apperance? i prefere the shine look.

        Hi Alfa

Just to make sure what product you are using:

        Gold Class Endurance High Gloss

If so, here is what I have found. Over time, the tires will develop a slight build-up of product. Combine this with tire "blooming" which is a release of a product from the tire itself to protect itself against UV (the tire manufacturer places this chemical compound into the tire), and the side walls can get a build-up, so-to-speak.

My suggestion is to thoroughly clean the tires with either the NXT Tire Cleaner or Meg's All Purpose Cleaner. Then apply the Endurance. I like to wipe the tire down with a MF cloth which does knock down the shine slightly, but not extensively.

If you want extreme shine, you should try Meg's NXT Insane Tire Shine

NEW NXT Generation Insane Shine Tire Spray

Give the above a try...that should do the trick!

        Cheers!

Ive got a white mach so I know what you are describing.Just wipe off the excess with a fresh tire dressing applicator and use it everytime you put on tire dressing.

I use a foam dressing applicator with Endurance High Gloss and it always looks dripping wet. I will admit, though, that I still get some sling on the car.

Tim's right. If you want shine go with the Insane Shine:

Even when you get carried away with it and apply to much, it does not sling a lot.
