Color X, DCS 2 and NXT Wax

Hi,

My first post and i need some advise.

I know Color X have been discussed many times here but i still have some questiones. Here goes:

1) Is it safe to use Color X on a new car whose paint is consider to be in good condition ?

2) Can i use CX as often as i like if i apply them by hand on a soft app. pad?
What my concern is will CX reduce the thickness of my car clear coat over time. From the discussion i see here and in view that CX is a new product, has anyone actually finish an extire bottle of CX on the same car / panels and say there is no noticable difference in the thickness of the clear coat.

3) Anyone tried CX + DCS2 + NXT Wax?
How's the result compare to only just using CX + NXT?
My car is a light color car, will i be able to get a wetter look if i include DCS2 rather then just CX and NXT?
(i'm not considering #7 as i have difficulties getting it here in M'sia)

Hi AthlonXP,

First, welcome to MOL.

Now for your questions...

1. It won't hurt to use CX on a new paint finish. It might not be needed... but it won't hurt.

2. I doubt that CX will remove hardly any clear coat. You should be able to use it as frequently as you like... but you really shouldn't need to use it that often.

3. While I haven't used CX/DC2/NXT as a combination, it should work fine. The DC2 may add a little more wetness that you are looking for. Try doing a couple panels both ways and see which one you prefer.

One more question, if i layer several coat of NXT on the paint, will the NXT provide protection against scratches or stone chips cause by flying stones.

Sometimes driving on dusty roads, there are those very small stones that hit the car and scratch the paint abit.

I was wondering if NXT Wax is thick enough to offer some or any protection against this.

Two coats of NXT is the best. More than that is a waste of product. It may help against stone chips and scratches, but the only real way to not get them is to use a clear bra, or old school bra. That said, you vehicle is better off with the wax than without it.
