  • How many Supreme Shine Microfiber towels do you use?

Hey guys/gals Just wanted to know about how many Supreme Shine Microfibers does it take to remove wax? I know you flip for a final wipe to ensure that the wax residue isn't stuck and doesn't scratch the surface but how many towels does anyone usually use? I want to buy these and i'm debating between the 3 pack or single....Thanks for the advice!

Get the 3-pack, heck, get a couple of 3-packs, you will definitely want to use them for each step of your process. For final buffing, I use 2, one for the initial pass, and then I go back over the whole car with some QD and a seperate towel.

P.S. - Which H-town are you from? My birthplace is Hanford, we all refer to it as H-town as well.

I've had mine since March and they are all doing fine (have about 15). Just make sure you wash them in warm/cold water with woolite or other liquid detergent that doesn't have any bleach or fabric softeners and they should be fine.

I find these MFs are too big and too plush for removing wax residue.
I actually bought 30 of these expecting them to take over everything, but I only ever unpacked 12 of them, and have given away a few.
I much prefer the ultimate wipes for removing residue from polishes, waxes, etc. In fact I just got another 20-pack of them. They're still the best and certainly deserve their name.
Supreme Shine MFs are best for QD purposes and that's all I use them for, so I don't find myself needing more than 12 at all.
But to answer your question, you should only need 1 or 2 to remove wax residue for a regular sedan.

I like the new towels for wax removal. I still give the car a final light wipe down with a ultimate wipe or equal type microfiber towel to even out the finish.

Speaking of cloths, do you guys designate each towel for a specific task? As in a particular cloth is only used to buff a certain product (e.g NXT, #83, #80)

Or do you just throw them all for a wash and just pick one out for use?

Different towels for different waxes for me. I like the Supreme Shines for the "dust off" products like NXT, #21, #20, and new GC. I like the Ultimates along with the Ultra Plush Terrys for the "stick on" products like #26 and #16.

The extra size of the Supremes doesn't bother me, I kind of like it.

I usually use two Supremes for a mid sized sedan like the Subary Legacy. I'd probably use three for a small SUV.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

after doing a side by side comparison with some top notch mf vendors, i would have to say the megs supreme mf's are the largest, plushest and softest mf's i own.
