Meg Detail Liner Degeaser.

Hi guys,

I was using it last weekend on the enginge bay. Until this week I notice my AEM CAI pipe its look been ate up by the degreaser. I use 1 part water and 3 part water on 32oz bottle. So, any one having this issues? Esp, if you have some sort of alumium in the bay.

which degreaser? Super Degreaser?

Sorry, its the Super Degreaser. I read the dircetion on how to dilute, but I dont know what cause that

Usually I don't go anymore than 10:1, that stuff is really powerful. If you pipe is polished aluminum or has an anodized coat you should not introduce a degreaser or APC to it at all, just soap and water. Try using NXT metal polysh on the pipe to renew the finish if it's polished aluminum.

For clear coated wheels I have been using wheel brightener or APC. At 10:1 SD would probably work, but you have to remember that you are near paint and it has the possibility to stain.

Yeah, the super degreaser is potent stuff. lol I keep it at 4:1 but only use it for nasty jobs. Here is a tip. On my truck, I have a polished stainless Air Force One intake on it. Every time I wash detail the eingine bay, I take some plastic shopping bags and ziptie one around the filter and M.A.F and wrap the other around the enirre intake tube then ziptie. Works great. Then whenn everthing is all done, I cut the zipties and do the intake and maf with approriate cleaners. Being as your AEM cai runs the filter down to the "ground", I would just wrap as much pipe as you can then ziptie. Try it, it saves time and is great peace of mind.

Wow! thanks for the tips. Good thing I didn't start blasting these degeaser on some of my clients cars.

Lesson to learned, I guess I will starting using my Meg APC from now on. Ok, thank you again for the tips.
