How long does hyper dressing stand upto mother nature when compared to #40? Also, how do you guys like hyper dressing on the interior compared to 40. I know it doesnt have the light cleaning power that 40 does, but I always A.P.C first. thanks guys.

I'd suggest sticking to #40 for the interior simply because it has UV protection whereas HD does not. As far as what holds up longer on the exterior trim, it is simply a matter of how the trim is prepped for the dressing ie APC or #39 pre-cleaning. If you buff off the excess after it is allowed to dry for about 10 mins you will notice less runs and an overall even appearance. I would however suggest All Season Dressing or #38 for exterior trim, both hold up well for me and provide a deep, rich finish. HD does well for engine compartments and tires though.

Hey,
IMHO, I prefer Meguiar's #40 for the interior. It is an all around awesome product. But for the outside, either one will work well with the edge going to the Hyper-Dressing. Moreover, since you can control the sheen, HD is a natural choice for engine compartments and wheel wells. For tires, my choice is Meg'a All Season Dressing.

does it really matter which has more uv protectant? with all that the factorys add to the plastics to make them stand up to uv rays is it really needed to add more? I'm thinking along the lines as paint, the paint manufacturure adds all the uv protection to the paint and wax is only a sacrificial barrier. can we not view dressing this way as well?2000

I just tried some #40 on the outside trim and it faded in about a week and a half (100 degree heat and two rain showers). It is a great product, but I will only use it on the interior from now on - it just doesn't seem to be made to withstand the elements IMO.
