For me it wasn't the worst but not the best I'd have to say in the middle. In my opinion, not much can beat a nice bottle of Gold Class Soap!

        Hi flyers51285,

Quik Questions: How much water did you use in the bucket?

The strips are formulated to be used at 1 strip per gallon. I have found the suds to last longer than anything else I have ever tried at the correct dilution level.

        Let me know…

I just tried my free sample a little while ago, and although not the best I've used, it definitely isn't the worst.
For me, it gave more than ample suds, and this was in very hard water. I can't really comment on it's cleaning power too much, as my car wasn't really that dirty. It did however remove some fresh tar from my side panels quite easily. But this could have been attributed to the NXT Wax on the surface. When compared to Gold Class and NXT (my 2 favorites), it lacks in lubricity some. It also doesn't sheet water as well as NXT, but I honestly didn't expect it to. I didn't mind the smell at all, and didn't notice any more bugs than when I use any other wash.
All in all, it's not a bad wash. It's suds and convenience seem to be its strong points, and will probably help it sell a lot to the majority of the public. It also saves room, so it may be a good product for a mobile detailer to have in his box for those "just in case" type days where a liquid wash is forgotten.
As for me, I'll pick some up when I finish the NXT and brand new gallon of Gold Class I have on hand. It is one of those products I'd like to have on hand for its convenience, small storage requirement, and novelty factor.

Sorry, but I didn't like my samples either...I put just a "little" more than a gallon of water in the bucket, but the suds died quickly...Felt like I was washing the car with plain water.

I remedied the situation with Gold Class.

At first I thought I put too much water in, because the suds were disappearing it seemed. When I'd take my wash mitt onto the truck, it was barely sudsy and I, too, felt like I was just washing with regular water .

I also wanna know, why does the no-seal package say
Remember to re-seal pouch after use.

              But it did smell good

I agree with the opinions here. I just tried Quik Suds strip I received as sample. My normal car wash is Deep Crystal car wash. I like the smell better of the strips more than deep crystal. The strips seemed to work just as well. Not better, not worse. I would recommend it for people who, like me now dont get to hand wash often. Or if space is an issue. I mostly go coin op and follow with quik detailer. I will buy these strips after the big jug of deep crystal car wash is out which will likely be in 2+ years!
If I were able to wash often I would buy gold class or NXT car wash, instead of the strips.

                  Mike,

I was just wondering what the thought process is here. I'm sure Meguiar's takes into consideration the average user of any particular product. When developing these strips how did they come to the conclusion that the average guy washing his car uses a gallon of wash water. I know that water conservation has become a very hot topic. That said, I would still expect the average guy would use between 2 and 3 gallons of wash water. I suspect as you probably do that this is the reason some of the reviews are not happy with the suds. Of course the easy answer here is throw another strip or two into the bucket. I believe that this then becomes cost prohibitive when compared to other shampoos, at least at the prices I've seen the strips locally. Can you give me any insight? By the way I signed up for one of the free strips and haven't received it yet. So at this point I'm talking out of my hat. I'll use it according to instructions to get a better idea of how the product works.
