  • Orbital buffer pads

What are the best pads to use with an orbital buffer? Like terry cloth, wool,? I'm new to orbital buffers so i'm not sure what I should be looking to get?

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I am not sure what kind of orbital buffer you are using . But most of them are not effective in removing swirls. But if your buffer does have a backing plate with velcro, then you can buy foam pad to use with it. Check at Meguiars online store , there are cutting pad, polishing pad and finishing pad for different purposes. Search though this website and you'll find a lot of information here.
    Good luck.

Well seeing that i'm using an orbital buffer they would be for apply DC#1 cleaner, polishing, and waxing. Anything tougher a will end up doing by hand. Unless they have rougher pads for orbitals.

Meguiars is now selling foam finishing bonnets for orbital polishers.......They are part of the Gold Class line.

        X4008 9"- 10" size.

They also have microfiber bonnets for orbitals too.

        X4003 6"- 7" size.

        X4009 9"- 10" size.

        X4011 11" size.

They even have drill pads too.

          Please Help!!! Noobie

Are you talking about this orbital! I am a noobie and was wondering how to use this. Do I put the polish on by hand then buff the residue off? Could someone tell me step by step how to use this?

I plan on washing my car, then claying, using Scratch X, polishing and waxing. Thanks

Can I apply the polish on the orbital and then work it into the car or is that wrong?
