Questions about #7 Glaze and GC Wax

no...i mean did you apply it to the entire car and let it "skin ( dry ) and then wipe off from the car or did you apply to a small section and remove immediately?

how long did you wait to remove it? ( sorry but this was the main question.. i doin't think you understood what i was asking.. of course you apply and remove... thats almost every product there is! ) and can anyone else chime in? what is the best method for #7 glaze

I've used both # 7 and #81. I apply a very thin coat with an even-coat applicator pad to the whole vehicle. By then the skin has formed on the glaze. I don't believe this stuff never fully dries. I use a cotton towel to remove the skin and much of the glaze then buff with a MF. I'm not too concerned about getting the last bit off or making it streak free as when I apply NXT Tech Wax it takes off any excess I missed.

Hey,

There is no one "right" way of applying #7 as it depends on what a person is used to. Since it is a pure polish, it does not dry but rather skins over as others have noted.

Mike likes to apply it to the whole vehicle which allows the product to skin over. He then goes around and wipes off first with a 100% cotton terry towel followed by a MF towel for the final wipe. This method works great as long as you apply the product thinly.

I prefer to apply and remove #7 from 1-2 panels at a time. Since it does not need to dry, removal can be immediate. Just like Mike, I have used this method for over 20 years and have become accustomed to using it in that manner.

In the end, it does not matter which method you use as long as it works for you!

Hey RB,

Nope, no smears at all. But I do use 2 MF towels. I wipe off the panel and then go back over it again with the other MF. I just keep doing that and have had no issues at all with the #7! I just love the stuff!!
