I guess it depends on how often you use them, but I've gotten some good use out of my pads.

I guess their used up when the foam begins to disintegrate into tiny pieces, as I've seen a few of my older pads do that........But I'd like to hear what some of the others have to say about this too.

I have some a lot of use on some of my pads... I have the first Meguiars finishing pad I used with my PC when I bought it about 3 1/2 - 4 years ago. Only reason I stopped using it is I caught a sharp edge about a year ago and tore it but I still use it for dirty jobs (not on the paint), I do have to glue the backing on from time to time.

Now one one of my polishing pads I would say has maybe 15-20 uses (with cleaners) on it still works well and looks good. On my newer Meguiars Finishing pad something like 10-12 uses.

I don't like to buy tons of them so I take great care when I clean them and store them. Never run them over 5 on the PC. I would guess my finishing pad would last sometime since I only run it on 3-3.5 and use it only to apply wax, long as I don't snag it.

I like to keep extras on hand in case something gets damaged or dirt in it. - 4 polishing pads - 4 finishing pads I always keep one of each sealed in the bag/never opened on hand.
