ColorX seems better than NXT...

To me it seems like colorx has better gloss and
reflection than NXT or Hi-Tech Yellow wax. Is it
only me? or not? What do you people think?

I think it really did help by bringing back the depth of a 92 greenish grey vanthat probably never saw wax before. Of course, I haven't used NXT on it yet (want to keep it for myself). Might need to try it on my black Avalanche to see how it turns out.

I've done test spots with ColorX on clearcoat paint and didnt notice a difference at all.

Are you using it on clearcoat bitz?

Just remember that the end-results are in part determined by what you start with as in the condition of the paint. ColorX is a strong cleaner/wax for neglected finishes, NXT Tech Wax is for finishes that are in excellent condition or have been pre-cleaned.

ColorX will make a neglected finish look better than NXT Tech Wax, but if you were to compare the results of both waxes on a black finish in excellent condition, the NXT Tech Wax will yield better results.

That said... ColorX, like all Meguiar's cleaner/waxes does a spectacular job of cleaning, polishing and leaving behind a high gloss finish.

Thanks for the replies. I have 00 S2000 and
they are in excellent condition and yes they
have clearcoat on them. Its not that I had to
try colorx because it have a neglected finish.
I simply tried some polishes and waxes to find
out what enhances the appearance the most.
And personally it seems like colorx performs
better than NXT or Hi-Tech Yellow wax.. Also
the reason I'm comparing yellow wax is because
I hear many saying that carnauba wax brings
out the shine better than polymer (NXT, Colorx).

A-12 Cleaner Wax is no slouch either when it come to gloss.

ColorX is the unsung sleeper awesome product of the line.

Actually all the cleaner waxes get overlooked in the crush to try the newest, bestest stuff. But when the foam hits the paint, there's not much that can match the ease and convenience of proper technique and regular use of A-12, #6, or ColorX. Two of our cars, Mary Joan's and my dad's, are maintained this way.

I always did, and still do, like the #6 Cleaner Wax.

A-12 is good stuff and often overlooked. If you had to pick one wax to use on a daily driver, A-12 would be the one imo.
