when using 80 which pad do you use ? the pad/speed chart says 8006 while some detailers are using the 9006 claiming you don't want to introduce any cutting action during the glaze or wax stage.

M80 Speed Glaze is a light cleaner/polish for removing light defects, in order to leverage it's cleaning, or abrading ability, you will see better results if you use the polishing pad instead of the finishing pad.

If you finish does not need to have any below surface defects removed, then you can either polish with a pure polish such as Deep Crystal Polish, or go straight to wax. When applying these types of product by machine, using the least aggressive product philosophy, you would apply using the W-9006 Finishing pad.

    Hope this helps...

You will find out in detailing there are no ABSOLUTES.

That is probably why Meguiars carries so many products.

Differences in paint hardness, color, age and other variables play a part in determining what combination of products you will select to polish ones vehicle.

I believe the recommends Meguiars gives on what and how to use their products are recommendations that will achieve the best results most of the time.

That being said, start with the least abrasive combination and step up from there.

I've just got my extra W-9006 pad 2 days ago. My plan is as follow:

        Rotary + #80 + W-9006 (After Rotary + #83 + W-8006)

        DA + #80 + W-8006 (After DA + #83 + W-8006)

The reason why I choose this setup is because I find that rotary is working quite fast with the product (direct drive mechanism), hence using W-8006 might leave very light swirl marks. Hopefully W-9006 will leave even less and prepare a finish which is ready for final waxing.
