  • Interior Cleaner that Won't Affect Painted Dash Indicators

I have been a Meguiars user since I can't remember, and I typically grab Quik Interior Detailer for maintaining my truck. I have a few dashboard knobs where the paint has been smudged or completely removed by a product I used, definitely not worn off by use...my problem is that I can't remember which product it was, since it happened over time. I was recently watching a random video that mentioned an interior cleaner that didn't have detergents as to not affect the painted indicators, but can't remember where I saw that either, so I figured I'd ask the experts.

Can you all recommend a product for the interior that doesn't harm the little painted indicators on a typical dash?

Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner is perfectly safe for any interior hard surface & would be what we recommend for this application. You technically could use a Quik Detailer like our Ultimate Quik Detailer if you would like.

Thank you, like I said, I couldn't remember if I had tried a different cleaner at some point and that's what caused the paint to smudge, or be removed, but I would like to stay with a Meguiars product for simplicity. Good to hear my trusty Quik Interior Detailer is safe.

Also, have they worn just from age possibly? I don't know what you would be using so often or even no often that would remove paint.

In this case it is not age, in fact I can see a clear smearing of the paint. I only use certain things on the truck and it may been some diluted APC or Super Clean.
