Hi, I'm just wondering how often should I use Meguiars 3 Step? The oldest vehicle that it would be used on is a 2000 Honda Odysse, with it also being used on a 2002 Ford Taurus, and a 2005 Nissan Altima. All vehicles have fairly good paint, all get washed at least twice a month (and not with dish soap!).

All the time...
For a slightly more detailed answer.. using a paint cleaner before you wax will help ensure you have a good clean surface for adhesion of wax.. get the most durablility out of your wax. Claying a couple times a year before the DC#1 is even bettter.
The Polish will nourish your paint, and help darker colors look even deeper.
Then of coruse the wax to protect.
So all 3 are always good to use to keep the paint looking good.
The DC System goes on easy, and doesnt take too long. Also, the entire system is non-abrasive, so there is no risk of wearing down the clear coat. However, if you have swirls and whatnot to remove, then you will need a different cleaner.
Doing the 'Squeak Test' will be the easiest way to determine if your wax is still there or not. If it is gone, might be time to reuse the system. In between, you could use a spray wax to get a little longer durability, and spruce up the looks.Last edited by Murr1525; Jun 12, 2005, 02:23 PM.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
