I have read many treads where people ask how to remove wax that gets on to the plastic trim.
I don't know if I would actually recommend this or not but so far I have had very good luck with it and I thought I would share.
I have used ScratchX on my mirrors (not for wax but for bugs) and it has not had any ill affect. I would guess that it would also remove any wax that happened to get on to your plastic.
Recently, I have also used #9 on my door handles. It has not only removed any wax residue but it also helps to keep it a nice black color without having to use any trim detailer.
I would definitely say use these at your own risk and try in an inconspicuous place first.
I wish I had some pictures to share of some before and afters but I didn't think to take any.
If I think about it, I will take some pictures of my truck's door handles and mirrors so y'all can see. It is suppose to rain for the next four or five days so it may be awhile.
Thanks,
