  • Synthetic Chenille

    Hi All,

I was wondering if a synthetic chenille wash mitt is safe for washing the car with?

I found one at a local dollar store last week, and thought I would give it a try.........Only I thought it was 100% cotton at first.

I know Meguiars made a synthetic soft spun wash mitt at one time.

I think it depends on the particular material and weave. I have some microfiber chenille I really like. I would be very cautious of an unknown bargain store product.

As the saying goes, test in an inconspicuous area first.

It was made by a company called California Magic www.leassco.com

I tried it out late yesterday, but it was too dark to see the finished results.

It had a nice feel to it though.

The bought a 100% chenille wash mit from Wal-Mart a while back, but it was bad to lint, and some of the strands fell out too........I wonder if all cotton fiber wash mitts are that way?
