i used the dish washer gel mix with water. Now it left stains on my windsheld. Sun bakes it into my windshield. How can I clean it up.

try a solution of water and distilled vinegar?? I have used it to remove hard water spots from glass before.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

One thing you might try is to rewash the car super-saturating the car with water and then washing with a quality car wash. Remember, Like dissolves like.

It should also be noted that if you have water stains or spots on the glass, you probably have them on most the exterior surfaces it's just the ones on the glass will be easier for your eyes to detects. If this is true, it could mean you have water stains or spots on the paint. Ouch!

Another option would be to use a paint cleaner with a diminishing abrasive to polish the glass clear again, here's an article on this,

it's not just some stain, it's like water marks bake into my windsheild. I tried with a lot of glass cleaning stuff. Nothing works on it, i even try it with compound and buff it. The only thing i haven't try is nail polisher, acid(if i can find some), and alchol.

Do u think the deep crsytal paint cleaner, will clean it up? Cause i also have some of those white marks on the paint. Someone suggest me to get some high quality paint cleaner should clean it off my paint.

If you read through the thread on cleaning glass I included, you'll understand why Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner will not work and if there is any chance that the stain can be removed, then a product like the M04 Heavy Cut Cleaner will.

Read the thread, I'm pretty sure others before you also didn't understanding the how and why, which I explained.

Sorry i have a really dumb question, where do I find either one of above?? I have a buffer, that's all I know. I don't really know anything about how to wash car, or what material to use. I always use regular towel. I want to learn how to wash car properly, too.

Years ago, I had some bad water spots on my glass. A detailer close by recommended either 000, or 0000 steel wool with a compound cleaner to remove the spots.

It was a lot of work, but the spots disappeared.
