Hi all, sorry for late response, I’ve been out of the office & unavailable for most of the week.
I wanted to chime in on this of course. Good news, this was actually a rolling change, and has already been implemented into the formulations! If you want to ensure you have the latest, look for the new yellow highlights on the packaging. This is the only way to tell. Also, yes, Stoops is correct, simply put, this is a change to the polymer technology, and a user should notice an increase in durability.

This variation in color actually does not have to do with the formulation change. We are aware of the differences you have pictured here. This is simply a variation in color with a particular batch, and will not affect product performance.

I just saw the new package at the store and it says New in a yellow border with the other writing in the yellow banner that was posted on the first page.

Okidoki. Hopefully this is universal (all markets) because i've seen atleast 4 different packages using google
I tried the "new" version today for the first time. It is not white like it used to be it is like the pic that was posted but it comes out like water. What the hell is up with that? Definitely a different consistency than the previous unless my bottle is bad?? Any ideas?
Has anyone actually used the old version and the new version and can report any noticeable differences? I just received mine from Amazon and it appears to be the old version with the top left yellow stripe that says "INCLUDED: Applicator Pad & Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel". I'm wondering if it's even worth it to return it and keep searching for the new one or not. I kind of wanted to use it this weekend...Thanks!
I purchased ULW 2-2016 (Amazon) yellow banner upper left has:
"EZ Application"
"No White Residue, Even in Full Sun!"
Could this have been the new formulation two years ago?
Today I received ULW Direct from Meguiar's. The package has in the upper left banner:
"Towel & Pad Included!" These words are to the right of the picture of the pad and towel.
Is this the old formulation, currently shipping direct from Meguiar's?
Looking at photos online at various merchants I see at least 2 other variations, LOL.
I see one with the upper left banner with only the word: "NEW!" Inside the banner with "EZ Application"
"No White Residue, Even in Full Sun!" Written in white letters below the banner.
BTW the UPC # is the same for my 2-2016 box & the one I just received today, 3-16-2018.
You received exactly what I received, also direct from Meguiar's on 3-16-2018.
So, we know they are still shipping this version. Whether it is the new formulation or they are getting rid of old formulation stock....IDK!
As I stated in my post, there are several version being sold by different retailers. It would be nice if someone from Meguiar's, who knows, would comment.
We do not know WHEN Meguiar's began selling the "new" formulation.
It is not at all clear from this thread what, exactly, to look for to verify you did, in fact, receive the new, better formulation... wherever you purchased!
I wish Nick would clear this up. I just a couple minutes ago got mine from Amazon and it's just like the picture two posts up where it just says towel and pad included on the corner. I'll send it back if this is old.
I doubt they would/will tell ya. If they did people would choose the new over the old and alot of old would be unsold. My guess is that they change it slowly. No old is produced anymore so over time there will only be the new one to buy.

Let's see if I can help here, I think I can clear this up. As of today 5/15/18, the improvement to the polymers has been implemented into the formula for about 1 and half years. Yes, prior to the "yellow highlight" packaging change.
If you want to be absolutely sure you have the latest, look for the box with the yellow highlight, like pictured below.
With that said, yes this was an improvement, but there are so many variables that go into how long a wax will last, it would be difficult for a user to measure a difference. So basically, you can't go wrong with either, but with the latest, you will get even more added protection.
Hope this helps!
