I hope you get your wheels fixed LnkPrkSoldier.

I believe they will clean up with the right polish, and Mike can help you there.

This week, my wife did a major cleanup in the kitchen, so I offered help out some. After she cleaned up the stove, I offered to buff it with a PC/W-8006/ColorX combo, which made it look new again.

But the stove's stainless steel trim had been stained with oven cleaner some years ago, so I thought that I would at least try something from my Meguiars collection as a last resort....

I used a Hi-Tech foam pad with a lot of arm movement, and to my surprise, the stain began to come off. I continued to work this area until the stain was much less noticeable.

I never would have thought that that oven cleaner stain would have come out of that piece of trim, but it did.

I'm astonished to say the least!

                Hi LnkPrkSoldier,

                Hi

We're glad you were able to join us for the Bimmerforums Detail Day at Meguiar's, we hope you had fun and learned a lot. It was also very rewarding that Meguiar's was able to repair the damage done to your wheel by another companies product.

I need some of that for my exhaust tips! The job that it did on those M-B wheels is amazing!

                        Hey Lnk,

Until Mike gets a chance to answer, here are a couple of suggestions

                        Gold Class All Wheel Cleaner

                        Or...

                        #36 Hi-Tech Wheel Cleaner

Either one will work well on your MB wheels.

Both of the wheel cleaners are very safe to use with the #36 being the mildest of the two.

LnkPrk, hate to hear about your problem. This is just my personal opinion. If I were you with those wheels, I would just hand wash them with a good car wash. I wouldn't use any wheel cleaners on those wheels. The only wheels that I use a wheel cleaner on are honeycomb style rims or rims that are difficult to clean by hand due to crevices. Now that you have the NXT wheel polish on them, they should be real easy to clean by hand. I always use the least aggressive method if possible. Like I said, just my opinion.
