just called , then went to the comments section and was then transferred to the technical section of their... thing. they asked for my zip code and then asked for my problem. i told them my situation and then he asked if i was freddie olivas. i was wondering how he knew my name and then he responded that he saw it from the email. i guess not many people email them.. not to my surprise. and he said that they would respond back with 1-2 days. i said sure and said thank you. lets see how this comes along. im still holding on to that email you made for me and will send it in 2 days if i get no response. here are some more pictures of the incident.

What i did respect about them was the professional way in which they talked. They did not immediately accuse me or doing something wrong or just send me an automated message with nothing in addition to that.

I know this is a little late and maybe pointless now, but when you were done cleaning the wheels did you thoroughly hose them down and dry them with a microfiber towel? The staining looks as though the product was allowed to dry on the surface after rinsing. I don't mean to question your process, but one thing you may want to do to prevent this from occuring with any wheel cleaner is to thoroughly rinse the wheel surface after use and immediately dry with a clean mibrofiber towel. I hope you can get the issue resolved with Black Magic, maybe you will get them to rethink the marketing of this product.

yep. i sure did. after i saw what it did, i still had some car wash soap from the rest of the car and used it on the wheels. its alright. sorry that i didn't say it earlier. Lets see what happens...

Sorry to hear about your wheels. I hope you are able to get them fixed. I used to have a bottle of black magic wheel cleaner in my detailing stuff. It is one of the most aggressive wheel products I have ever used. It worked well for wheels that were in terrible condition and were not expensive wheels. I stopped using it when I stopped working on cars that were in really bad condition. Now I only us Meguiars #36, p21s gel, and meguiars citrigel cleaner for really expensive wheels.
Keep us informed, I was always shocked that they called that an all wheel cleaner. If I recall correctly, it I acid based.

You may want to give Superior Shine a call and see what he can do for you. There is a place up north of you in Visalia called Keystone that does refinishing and polish work on wheels. However, you would have to send the wheels to him. You may want to try one of either mother's or meguiar's metal polishes and a powerball or other buffing tool on a cordless drill first. If you can't find NXT locally, you can use the mother's metal polsih (not the billet polish though). Flitz, wenol, and even Eagle one neverdull are all decent OTC products. Make sure that you follow your polish up with NXT, #20, or another wax/sealant to preserve your results and make cleaning easier. Good Luck

Yeah... I could have clicked on that but my natural reflex is just to post a question as not everyone includes that information in their profile.

Why don't you attend the detailing class this weekend? It's a full class, but we can squeeze you in. I'll give you a sample of NXT Metal Polysh and even help you test it on your wheels to see if Meguiar's can fix Shell Oil's mistake.

If we can't fix it, then it cannot be fixed and you can move forward in the replacement process with Shell Oil.

Your best bet is to go to Mike's detailing class. I wonder if one of those buffing balls would help. You could use it with the NXT All Metal Polysh.
