I'm not all that concerned with how my daily beater 'looks' but now that the winter is on it's way I always like to have a good coat of wax on it for the 'slip factor'. It snows pretty heavy at times and having a good coat aids in removing the snow off the car, as it's parked outside. I've usually used my ULW that I bought for my newer garaged car, but would rather use a more economical wax for this purpose. As I said I'm not concerned about the look, but I'm curious as to the slip factor of the Cleaner Wax for purposes of removing snow and ice as well as some winter protection.

Re: Meguiar's Cleaner Wax
The A6 Cleaner Wax is the wax I most often recommend most to "average Joes", who want a bubba-proof product that cleans and protects. However, it's certainly not the product I would choose to get me through an entire winter. I can't speak from personal experience here, but I'd take a hard look at Meguiar's Paint Protect.
It's not only dirt-cheap, but prioritizes durability over appearance, which seems to be what you want for your DD.

I agree. I would either use ultimate wax or paint protect. Either will get you through the winter.

Re: Meguiar's Cleaner Wax
I would use ULW; especially you already have the product.
You will have less chance to wash/wax the car in winter months. You will want a wax which is more durable for protection against salts and the weather, ULW is supposed to be the most durable Wax in Meguiars line of products.
