Trying to clean up some very neglected stainless steel exhaust tips on an ecoboost Ford Explorer. So far I've come a LONG way with a couple degreasings and using Meg's hot rims chrome polish with a wool wheel on my drill. But there are still some significant deposits tarnishing the tips which simply will not come off. I don't want to damage them but so far I'm not sure what else to do.
1. Steel wool with oil or polish?
2. Over cleaner?
3. Other suggestions?
