What an education i'm getting....thanks guys for all your help. trying to understand something; thought i had a "system'. my whole "10 yards"; 1-3x/yr,clay,paint clean, polish w/either 80 (83), 80,81,nxt x2, then maybe topper 26/16.now i see alot of you are using the new 21 before the nxt or stopping after the 21. why ?
1)am i correct in assuming this is just a personal preferance use of the synthetic sealant over the natural waxes like 16/26 ?
    2) can 26 or 16 OR 26/16 be applied over 21 ?
    3) would stopping at the 21 be ok for summer use as oppossed to going the carnauba route for the winter months.I'm not able to wash/wax then and i would gladly give up the depth/shine for more durability.
    4) what's the theory behind cleaner waxes ? if nxt is so easy to use, why not just do that every 4-5 weeks. when would use use a product like A12 and what is the benefit of using it instead of the nxt ?
    5) if last touch is used to QD over21,DC,16,26 etc, then what spray wax is used over LT; or do you eventually apply what was originally put down ?

1,2,3. You can apply a layer of any wax you want over another. But you are right, it is a personal preference as to if it looks/protects any better. As far as durability, I would hazard a guess that Nxt and #21 should be more durable than the Gold Class, etc, at least based on the advertising.

    4. Nxt is only a wax. A cleaner wax contains some chemical cleaners, and polishing oils as well as the wax. Therefore, it is a one step product, as opposed to 3 steps. Nxt needs to be applied to a well maintained/prepared surface. Waiting too long can mean that even after washing, the surface will no longer be well preapared for a fresh coat of wax, and so it will wear away faster. A good combo for some time saving is Nxt over ColorX. Incidently, I use cleaner/waxes more in the winter, as they go o nand off quickly, and provide good protection for the short amount of work. The consumer line of cleaner/wax also sems to work very well in a wide variety of cold temps.

    5. You can mix and match any QD with any wax, and any Spray wax. I only figure if I use Nxt wax, may as well use the Nxt booster wax. But all will work together.
