I have a 10 year old bottle of ColorX still in my supply cabinet. I recently purchased a new-to-me car and would like to wash, polish, and wax the paint. Is 10 year old ColorX safe to use? It has been stored in a combination of cold winters and hot summers in the garage, but more recently indoors at room temperature.

I have been trying to find ColorX for about a year now, so a 10 year old find would be great for me. It is not milk, so I would not expect it to go bad. I certainly would try it if it were me. I had some old Turtle Wax, that had to be six or eight years old and I waxed my central air unit with it and it was fine. I would expect ColorX to be fine, unless it has gone lumpy, and even then it is probably still good. Someone may come along and say it is garbage, but I would try it, again, if it were me. -

Give it a good shake then see if it's the same consistency (and no bad odor) as when you first purchased it. If there are no negative effects, then it should be fine to use.Comment
