  • Vinyl siding & Deep Crystal Car Wash

My wife and I started cleaning our white vinyl siding on our 7 year old home on the weekend. I had some left over Deep Crystal so I tried that as well as her enviormentaly friendly soap. The Deep Crystal did a terrific job in comparison.

I have now bought a Karcher electric power washer and I am wondering if anyone has mixed the two for cleaning vinyl siding?
I would be greatful for any and all tips.

Sorry to be off topic but I am a real Mequiar's fan and I was impressed with my by hand results but too lazy to do the whole house by hand.

Not sure if I will ever use this on my car but will probably give it a try on the wifes

Regards and thanks for all input

    Hi Emmett,

when you say you used Deep Crystal, do you mean the car wash solution?

If so, I don't know that it would hurt to use this in a power washer, it might create to many suds? I don't know. We just don't want you to be disappointed with the performance of our products.

Yes I am refering to the car wash solution and the bubbles may very well be a problem. I can picture them floating down to the ocean from my place. It sure worked well by hand though. The mixture had been siting overnight since I washed the car.

No worries about me being disapointed with your products though. I am sold on Mequiars except for the spelling. They do what they are designed for better than anything I have found.

      Thanks for the reply

I use Deep Crystal soap in my pressure washer. I mix 2 oz soap with 1 gallon water (in an old milk jug) and add the solution to my washer. My washer (Husky) requires a low pressure setting in order to pick-up the soapy solution. If your pressure washer requires the same, that may pose a problem when trying to reach the high areas of your house. This method does produce some suds, but not too much.

Thanks for the reply. I had to take my first washer back as they had put in a wrong part and neglected another. I thought it would be better not to find out what the third thing would be

I picked up some Karcher cleaner to try out and I'll do a comparison with your recipe when I get the time. My pressure washer is a Karcher 1650 Binford (Costco)
