Hello Im fairly new to detailing. My previous cars wasnt nothing to brag about so therefore i didnt take very good care of them besides the normal wash and thats it. I have a fairly decent car now and im looking to maintain the paint as much as possible. So that being said im looking for someone that know more than me to put together a list of items i should buy. I want everything from wash, wax, sealant, best microfibers to use and so on... Im starting fresh... The car does have very light swirl marks as well. The color is a red tintcoat if that matters

Re: Detailing Newbie HELP Please!
Welcome to MOL.
Check out the Meguiar's ultimate line. It will fit your needs. I would recommend Gold Class shampoo over Ultimate.
Microfibers offered from Meguiar's would be the supreme shine. For drying they offer the water magnet.
Check out The Rag Company. They have some great towels as well.

Re: Detailing Newbie HELP Please!
what is your price point?
here is a good start http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...ns-new-car-kit and add http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...rface-clay-kit
I agree with Guz that Glod Class is better then Ultimate wash. I use Hyper wash because its cheap (price not poorly made) and its concentrated so it works well with a foam gun/cannon which I use almost solely now (unless I do waterless wash).
If you have a little more $ to burn... http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-mir...plete-kit.html

Re: Detailing Newbie HELP Please!
I should have been more clear stating that ultimate wax is a sealant. Can't go wrong with either sealant (M21, NXT, Ult. Wax, Paint Protect 365).
