  • NXT Tech Protect Question

    Hello,

I just bought myself a bottle of the NXT Tech Protect for my interior (dash, vinyl, etc) and the exterior trim...

It's a Black BMW 320i so the trim is also Black. I was curious as to how to apply this stuff on the exterior?

When I try, it gets on the body as well, and to remove it is a pain in the rear.

I was thinking maybe I should apply it first, wait about 10-15 minutes, then tape it off and then move on to detailing my car? By the time I finish with Scratch X and a cleaner, then proceed with a polish and wax I am sure the oil will be removed from the body.

    How does that sound?

Your input would be much appreciated

    Thanks again!

Well, I wouldnt spray it on. Either spray it onto a cloth, and wipe the cloth on the trim, or get a small paint brush, and dip it in some protectant to spread on the trim.

I have tried the cloth part (and that's where I get the product onto the body)... should I try a paint brush?... I would think that wouldn't give me an equal finish.

FWIW, I find that the NXT Tech Protectant doesn't hold up on the exterior trim very well, especially when it gets rained on. I find a better choice for exterior use is Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer.
