I get these mustard colored stains, about 1/8" diameter on all my cars and can't find the source. I know it's not coming from trees as I can park the car in a tree-free area and still get these. They don't wash off, you have to scrape it with a finger nail to get them off and then wash over the area. Is this from a bug or small bird? Any soap that gets these off? I found that on freshly NXT waxed cars, they come off much easier.

Do you clay your cars? That may be the best way to remove these spots. As far as what they are, who knows. nfortunately, the clay will remove your wax.... so, a quick detailer and a towel, or regular washing may be best in between.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

This happens all week long and clay would be too tedious and expensive to maintain it. Scratching it off with fingernails works but it leaves marks, probably just in the wax. Just trying to find the source so I can eliminate what's causing it. My guess is that it's Hummingbird poop or from a large bug.
