  • In Dash Display Screen Ruined?

I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 and the "HUD" display pictured here for reference for about a year now is quite hazy/dirty/possible moisture inside of the screen? I have tried hitting it with the basic soap and water as well as windex to no avail. Its almost like this milky cloud that makes the display hazy and its really starting to get to me. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what this is or more importantly how to clean it. I think "cloudy" would be a good way to describe it. It is noticeably worse when in direct sunlight FWIW.

Its my vehicles in dash display if that helps. The effected areas are smooth to the touch... its just cloudy and I've tried several cleaners. Upon further research I made errors by using glass cleaner (Windex) as well as papertowels but as of late I've only used MF cloth etc. I would be unable to buff these areas out with any type of powertool as the area we are working with is quite tight and narrow.

    What are my options?

A HUD (Heads Up Display) is different from and "In dash display", and as you mention both, I am not sure which you have. That aside, and issue with clarity of both is very difficult to correct. Go on youtube and there are plenty of "fix it" videos, but I have my doubts on their effectiveness. Most people just recommend putting a clear screen protector on, to prevent further damage, and live with it. Maybe some other member here has had this issue and will pipe up and help.
