  • Should you use compound with a DA polisher ?

I have a few scratches I want to remove. I think they are too deep for just a polish.

On a test sample, I used a small round hand pad, and rubbed Turtle Wax Polishing Compound
by hand and it made a nice difference, but it was a hassle.

Can I speed up the other scratches by using my DA with the red compounding material?
Or should you only use Polish with a DA?

You could use Meguiars Ultimate compound with a DA if warranted.

That red TW stuff might be asking for trouble when it doesn't have to be.
Save the turtle wax compound for the bird feeder.

Along with Meguiar's compounds there are practically dozens of different brands of "compounds" available for the PC. Some really light, others aggressive. Just do some research. I feel very comfortable using compounds with my PC.

Ok, I will just buy Meg's ultimate compound and try it with the DA.
        Thanks!

I bought the Ultimate Compound. I'll try it soon, then polish it, both with DA.

            Good deal.
            Post back with the outcome.
